I am very happy today because I get very special present from a special person. Yeah! The website you are walking in now is my SPECIAL PRESENT. It is used to be my 20th birthday present on the last November 4th, but he just give me today, exactly on his birthday. I am very very glad you know!!! ^0^/
For a blogger like me, having a personal website is such a dream! I previously had a home base here at blogger.com for about two years. The content of the blog has been imported here, sooo don’t be hesitate to take a look! 😉
I name this blog HORIZON OF HABIBAH because horizon line is such a meaningful-beautiful-natural-scenery you can see in this world.
HORIZON is a border.
It is a border between the sky and the earth. It is a border between the good and the evil. It is a border between the past and the future. A border between liberalism and socialism, between atheist and believer, between government and the people, between the rich and the poor, even between a man and a woman. You can say anything about horizon, our life is full of horizon. And those all I’m going to talk about in this website 🙂
What is actually the essence of blogging or having a personal website?
Well…you can say that you just want to share your idea. It’s true for most of the blogger. What differs blogger from other usual website-owner is: they are more IDEALISTIC. Usually they launch their blog with a mean of GETTING HEARD, flooring their frozen-thoughts inside their mind, right? *feel free to attack if you’re blogger :P*
Another reason, that I’m trying to reach now, is personal branding. Once the speaker in the seminar I attended said that if you’re walking to a company looking for a job, then you don’t need CV [Curriculum Vitae] anymore. Rather than reading your CV, the interviewer might prefer to access your blog and get to know the “real you” through what you’ve written. *it might especially applies to IT company I think* But personal (e)branding is in trend now. Imagine you’re typing your name in Google, what result will you get? The news about you? Your Facebook? Your Twitter? Or just another person’s blog with the same name with you? I’m trying to place this website as first result appears on Google when I’m typing my name 😀 *SEO mode on*
Another possible reason is earning money. This especially occurs for them who has ‘general-website’, or writing ‘in-demand’ to get paid. This reason might be contradicting the first reason. Because usually you can’t purely share your actual idea while hoping to get an advertisement-offer in your website. But, sometimes, if what you love to write is in a line with market-demand [or advertiser preference] then it’s okay 😀
Yeah…it is just an opening post from me to celebrate my brand new website! Hope it works well 😉
